Once the epic battle against K. Rool was over and DK Island was saved, Lanky Kong found himself with some newfound confidence. He had played a vital role in thwarting K. Rool's evil plans and had shown his worth to the rest of the Kongs. But as time passed, Lanky noticed that Donkey Kong and the others were getting most of the attention while he was often overlooked.
This realization took a toll on Lanky and he decided to go on a journey of self-discovery. He ventured far beyond the jungle world he had known all his life, exploring new areas and taking on new challenges.
Everywhere he went, Lanky was surprised by his own abilities. His agility, flexibility, and silly antics helped him breeze through obstacles that would have stumped other primates. In one particularly memorable adventure, he found himself stranded in a desert oasis and had to face off against a gang of angry snakes. But with his lanky arms, he was able to swing around like Tarzan, dodging and ducking under their strikes until he ultimately emerged victorious.
Along his travels, Lanky also made a few unlikely allies. A group of bees took him under their wing (or antenna, as it were) after he successfully solved a puzzle that had been plaguing their hive. And in the depths of an underground dungeon, he met a grumpy old dwarf who huffed and puffed about everything under the sun but eventually warmed up to Lanky's infectious energy.
Through all these adventures, Lanky never forgot where he came from. He missed his buddies on DK Island and hoped they were doing well. He even sent them postcards from time to time, detailing his latest escapades and promising to visit soon.
Years had flown by since the events of Donkey Kong 64, and the world had changed. But one thing remained the same: Lanky Kong was ready for whatever came his way.
NOTE: This is good.
Is perfectly within character for Lanky while also explaining why we haven't seen him.
And it still leaves the door open to the possibility of seeing him return.
