OPENING MONOLOGUE:
David Letterman walks out onto the stage and faces the audience.
LETTERMAN: Thank you! Thank you! What a great crowd tonight, ladies and gentlemen! You know, on this show we like to bring you the best and brightest in the entertainment and comedy world. And tonight we have some amazing guests, folks!
First up, three friends who co-host a hilarious video gaming podcast called Highly Unnecessary! Please welcome Hyle Russel, Chad McCanna, and Alastair Craig!
The three enter the stage and sit down on the couch.
LETTERMAN: It's great having you guys here! So, tell us about your podcast.
HYLLE: Well, David, we're all gamers, and we just love to talk about anything and everything related to video games.
CHAD: Yeah, we cover news, reviews, and bizarre video game stories.
ALASTAIR: Basically, whatever our fans want us to talk about! We even got sponsored by the awesome guys over at Insert Coin Clothing!
LETTERMAN: That sounds interesting! Are there any games you guys are really excited for?
HYLLE: Definitely the upcoming Legend of Zelda game for the Wii U!
CHAD: I can't wait to get back into the world of Mass Effect with the new entry in the series!
ALASTAIR: Personally, I'm looking forward to the new Fallout game.
LETTERMAN: Great choices! Now, let's bring out our musical guest for tonight! They're an incredible jazz band with an amazing talent for rearranging video game music. Ladies and gentlemen, give it up for The David Wise 5!
The David Wise 5 takes the stage and performs a few jazz covers of classic video game themes.
LETTERMAN: Thank you, The David Wise 5! That was truly amazing!
To wrap things up, let's thank our incredible guests tonight, the hosts of the Highly Unnecessary podcast, and The David Wise 5 for their incredible performance. Thanks for joining us, everyone. Goodnight!
NOTE: Hmm, interesting but they didn't quite get the characters right, I suppose I could have given more games.
They definitely would have talked about Donkey Kong.
I could have given more info/wrote a better question.
Live and learn!
