Title: Secrets of Jolly Roger's Lagoon
It was another day in Jolly Roger's Lagoon, and Banjo and Kazooie were enjoying the crystal-clear waters while exploring the beautiful coral reefs. They swam towards the island where Captain Blackeye, the infamous pirate, had set up his base of operations.
As they walked up the sandy beach towards Blackeye's headquarters, they couldn't help but notice the chaos that was taking place. Pirates running around frantically, loading up cannons and looking out to sea for any signs of danger.
"What's going on here?" asked Banjo.
"Arr, we're in a bit of a pickle, lads," said Captain Blackeye. "It seems we've caught the attention of Lord Woo Fak Fak, the guardian of Jolly Roger's Lagoon, and he's not too pleased with our presence here."
"Hmmm, that doesn't sound good," said Kazooie.
"But wait, Blackeye," said Banjo. "We've heard rumors that you know something about the mysterious 'Stop N Swop' eggs. Do you have any information on that?"
Captain Blackeye's eyes widened, and he looked around to make sure no one else was listening. "Aye, I do have information on that, but it ain't exactly safe to talk about it here. Meet me in my private quarters, and I'll spill the beans."
Banjo and Kazooie followed Blackeye to his secret hideaway deep within the island. There, he opened a hidden trapdoor and revealed a room filled with treasure and hidden artifacts.
"Welcome to me little treasure hoard," said Blackeye, grinning from ear to ear. "Now, let's get down to business. The Stop N Swop eggs were originally meant to be used in Banjo-Kazooie, but due to technical limitations, Rareware had to scrap that idea."
Banjo and Kazooie were both shocked to hear this. "What about Banjo-Tooie?" asked Kazooie. "Did they have any plans to use them there?"
"Aye, they did," said Blackeye. "In fact, the Stop N Swop chests that you find in Banjo-Tooie were supposed to unlock secret features in the original Banjo-Kazooie game, but due to legal reasons, they had to change the concept entirely."
"Wow, we had no idea!" said Banjo.
"Well, now you do," said Blackeye. "But you best be keeping your lips sealed tight about it. The less folks know, the better."
Banjo and Kazooie nodded in agreement before bidding farewell to Captain Blackeye and making their way back to the coral reefs. As they swam through the waters and into the distant horizon, they couldn't help but feel excited about what secrets the world of gaming had yet to uncover.
NOTE: Love how this was smoothly fit into a fan fiction.
Doesn't tell the entire story of Stop N Swop but it's damn fun and totally in character for Banjo-Kazooie to openly talk about 4th wall breaking stuff like this.
Definitely feel like I should follow this rabbit hole a bit further.
