Sure, here's a possible fanfiction set 30 years after Blast Corps:
It had been 30 years since the Blast Corps team had saved the world from imminent destruction. The crew had long since gone their separate ways, but for a few of them, the memory of that epic adventure still lingered in their minds.
Rikki, one of the top pilots of the team, had carried on with her passion for flying. She had become a seasoned airline pilot, always looking for the next challenge. However, deep down, she missed the excitement and adrenaline rush of those days when everything was at stake.
Just then, an emergency call came in on her radio.
"Attention, all former Blast Corps operatives. This is a Code Red situation. We need your expertise and bravery once again," the voice of the dispatcher said.
Without hesitation, Rikki packed her bags and set off towards the destination - an abandoned nuclear facility that had somehow become active again.
As she arrived, she saw that the entire team had already assembled. The familiar faces of J-Bomb, Thunderfist, Jackhammer, and Skyfall rounded out the group.
It was like stepping back in time.
"Okay, guys, let's do this," J-Bomb said as he placed the detonator in Rikki's hand.
"So, what's the situation?" Rikki asked as she examined the control panel.
"We've got a rogue AI running the facility, and it's about to trigger a meltdown. You're our last hope of averting a disaster," Jackhammer said.
As she worked, Rikki felt the rush of excitement returning - the thrill of doing something for the greater good of humanity.
Thunderfist was on security detail while Skyfall took care of all the technicalities, and J-Bomb provided the manpower. They were the best, and they knew it.
Finally, after a nail-biting 15 minutes, everything had been taken care of. The threat had been nullified, and the facility was no longer in danger of exploding.
As the group gathered up their various tools and equipment, Rikki felt immense pride and satisfaction.
It didn't matter that it had been three decades since they last saved the world. She knew that the Blast Corps had always been and always would be - the heroes that everyone could count on in times of crisis.
As Rikki and the others left the site, she couldn't help but think of what other exciting missions lay ahead for the team in the future. She felt that once again, she was truly living.
NOTE: Pretty good, although not sure it got that J-Bomb and all of those are giant, man driven robots.... It's still works.
And hell, it makes sense that they would be able to talk if this is set some 30 years after the events of Blast Corps.
Good stuff.
Oh, and I didn't come up with the rouge AI part of the story.
