Sure, here is a fanfiction set on The Isle o Hags in present day:
It had been 23 years since Banjo and Kazooie saved the Isle o Hags from the evil plans of Gruntilda. In those 23 years, the Isle o Hags had undergone a massive transformation. New buildings and attractions had been added, and the island had become a popular tourist destination.
Banjo and Kazooie had remained on the Isle o Hags, living a peaceful life. They had retired from their adventures and were enjoying their golden years. But little did they know that trouble was brewing once again.
One day, while exploring the island, Banjo and Kazooie stumbled upon an old statue. It was unlike anything they had ever seen before. As they examined the statue, they heard a faint whisper.
"Banjo...Kazooie...help me," the voice said.
Suddenly, the statue began to glow, and Banjo and Kazooie were sucked inside. When they opened their eyes, they found themselves in a dark and eerie cavern.
"Where are we?" Kazooie asked.
"I'm not sure," Banjo replied. "But I have a feeling we're not alone."
As they ventured deeper into the cavern, Banjo and Kazooie encountered all sorts of monsters and creatures. They fought their way through them, determined to find the source of the voice that had called out to them.
Finally, they reached the end of the cavern and found a small room with a pedestal. On the pedestal sat a small crystal, and inside the crystal, they saw the image of a beautiful woman.
"Who are you?" Banjo asked.
"I am the spirit of the Isle o Hags," the woman replied. "A great darkness has descended upon this island, and I need your help to stop it."
Banjo and Kazooie knew they couldn't refuse the woman's plea for help. They took the crystal and set out to find the source of the darkness that had consumed the Isle o Hags.
As they traveled through the island, they saw that everything had changed. The beautiful smiles of the inhabitants had been replaced by looks of fear and despair. Buildings and attractions had been destroyed, and the once thriving island was now on the brink of collapse.
But Banjo and Kazooie didn't give up hope. They fought their way through the darkness, defeating hordes of monsters along the way. Finally, they reached the heart of the darkness - Gruntilda had returned.
But this time, she wasn't alone. She had recruited a powerful army of monsters to help her defeat Banjo and Kazooie once and for all.
The battle was long and grueling, but ultimately, Banjo and Kazooie were victorious. They defeated Gruntilda and her army of monsters, freeing the Isle o Hags from the grip of darkness.
As the sun rose over the Isle o Hags, Banjo and Kazooie were hailed as heroes. The island had been saved once again, and they had proved that even after all these years, they were still the greatest heroes the Isle o Hags had ever known.
NOTE: Hitting it out of the ball park, loving it!
