INT. BOWLING GREEN - DAY
We see the players from Red Alert 2, including Tanya, Boris, and General Krukov, standing around a bowling green, wearing their usual military attire with bowling balls in hand.
TANYA: Okay, guys, this is it. The Allied forces might not need us anymore, but we’re gonna show them what we’re made of on the bowling green.
BORIS: So, what’s the objective again?
KRUROV: To get your ball as close as you can to the white ball.
TANYA: Yeah, Boris. It’s not rocket science.
BORIS: Hey, I’ll have you know I blew up the Empire State Building with a pen once.
KRUROV: That’s not the point, Boris.
Suddenly, a group of elderly men and women walk onto the bowling green and begin setting up their equipment. The Red Alert 2 team looks at each other in confusion.
ELDERLY MAN: Good afternoon, young folks. Looking forward to a game of bowls?
TANYA: (whispering) Are we in the wrong place?
KRUROV: It appears so.
BORIS: Is this a secret mission?
ELDERLY WOMAN: What’s that? Speak up, dearie.
TANYA: Nothing, ma’am.
ELDERLY MAN: How about we play against these young’uns? A bit of competition never harmed anyone.
KRUROV: Challenge accepted.
The game begins, and while the elderly team is calm and collected, the Red Alert 2 team is struggling to adjust to the slower and more strategic pace of the game.
TANYA: (whispering) I don’t know how they do it. My arms hurt.
BORIS: (whispering) I’m pretty sure my ball is lopsided.
KRUROV: (whispering) Keep it together, team.
Despite their initial struggles, the Red Alert 2 team manages to hold their own against the elderly team. However, when Tanya goes up for her turn, she accidentally sends her ball flying off the green and straight into the nearby parking lot.
TANYA: Oops.
ELDERLY MAN: Looks like we won, young’uns.
KRUROV: (holding out his hand) Well done, sir. You’ve given us a good fight.
The elderly team smiles, shaking their hands jovially. Tanya, Boris, and Krukov applaud as they walk off the green, proud of the effort they put in.
TANYA: So, when’s the next game?
BORIS: Yeah, I think I like this slower pace.
KRUROV: (smiling) I can arrange that.
The team walks off the green, ready for their next match of lawn bowls – or perhaps even a new secret mission.
