I thought this would be a fun topic.
What is your Top 10 soundtracks on the N64?
I started doing this and thought i needed to make it a Top 20, there are so many good ones.
I will just do the 10 for now but i think i'll do a follow post later with Honourable Mentions (probably another 10 games)
10: Blast Corps - An underrated game with a powerful soundtrack. Graeme Norgate probably had me playing through this game a couple of more times than i otherwise would have just cause its got such cool music.

9: Ocarina of Time - What can be said about this game that hasn't already? So iconic. If you played this game as a kid, its hard to not hear the opening song and get chills.

8: Turok: Dinosaur Hunter - The pounding jungle drums really get you in the mood for this game. Bravo Darren Mitchel.

7: Goldeneye - Another iconic classic.

6: Bomberman 64 - I don't think enough people have appreciated the music in this game. Blue Resort really stands out.

5: International Superstar Soccer (64/98 and 2000) Yes I'm cheating by putting all 3 into one but i can't separate them. People don't think of the music when it comes to Soccer games which is why i think they ae such under appreciated gems for their music.

ISS2000 - (OK Fellas - you have to listen to this one)

4: F-Zero X: The guitar heavy, fast paced riffs suit the gameplay so well.

The credits music is good, have to listen to let the credits roll every time to hear this song out.

3: Diddy Kong Racing - As if doing arguably the greatest video game soundtrack of all time a couple of years earlier in Donkey Kong Country 2, David Wise shows his versatility and follows up with this incredibly energetic and uplifting soundtrack that has been stuck in my head for 25 years and counting.

1: Turok 2 - I had trouble separating my number 1 and 2 on this list. So its Turok 2 for now, but it could easily have been the other way.
Darren Mitchel blows away what you think you can do for music on the N64.
Not enough people got to experience the music in the later levels i think, cause the game was so damn hard! It elevated the game (people tend to forget this game was being called as good as Ocarina of Time in late 98 and it got a lot of 9.5/10 out of 10s in magazines back in the day. The game itself hasn't aged so well because of the framerate but i will tolerate the frame rate for the gameplay and the legendary soundtrack.

Slow build up, but once this one gets going, my word...the way it puts you on edge as you drudge your way through the sludge and have Purlins jumping through bridges at you, and probably the first time in the game you will shot a hole clean through an enemy.

The second last level in the game, what a weapon of an arrangement.
